How to Get to Torres del Paine National Park From Buenos Aires Argentina
First you must take a flight from Buenos Aires to El Calafate. From there, there are two options to get to Torres del Paine National Park.
Option 1:
From El Calafate to Puerto Natales to Torres del Paine National Park. We recommend taking a bus from El Calafate to Puerto Natales.
In Puerto Natales You can take bus or go by car to reach the Torres del Paine National Park. Details below.
Option 2:
From El Calafate straight to Torres del Paine. In the Chilean border at Cerro Castillo transfer onto a bus which goes directly to Torres del Paine. Details below.
From Buenos Aires to El Calafate

Option 1: From El Calafate to Puerto Natales
There are regular buses from El Calafate to the city of Puerto Natales. The trip is 350 km (217.49 miles) and takes 4 - 4.5 hours including customs and immigration procedures.

Only 112 Km. (70 miles) separate Puerto Natales from Torres del Paine Park You can get there by bus or car.
By Bus
Between October 15 and March 15 there are two daily frequencies. The rest of the year there is only one daily frequency. Rates per person: CL$8,000 (one-way). CL$15,000 (round-trip).

By Car
Two roads can be taken by car to get to the Park:
- The first option is to take the north exit from the city, straight through the road to villa Cerro Castillo, about 80 kilometers away (50 miles). Then follow the route to the north by the highway to the entrance of the park in Laguna Amarga.
- Second option is to take the nort exit in Puerto Natales to kilometer 23, where you must take the paved road to the left, route that also takes you to the Milodon Cave, until you reach the Administrative Headquarters 122 kilometers ahead (75 miles), close to the Serrano River.
Option 2: Straight from El Calafate to Torres del Paine
Take a bus to Chile in El Calafate. When you reach the Chilean border at Cerro Castillo you transfer to a bus which takes you directly to Torres del Paine National Park. Distance of about 210 KM (130 miles) from 3 to 3.5 hours.
