When to Visit Torres del Paine National Park

Torres del Paine national park can be visited year-round, so we invite you to learn about the different options we have for you in all seasons.

Lodge Los Cuernos and Hotel Las Torres are open year-round to meet touristic demand, so the W circuit can be done any time of the year. However, most lodges close during the winter since weather is colder and more unstable than the rest of the year.

During the rest of the seasons weather improves and the landscape changes. Visits are very attractive and depend only on what the visitor wants to see.

Torres del Paine National Park in Fall (April and May)

Fall in Torres del Paine National Park is a time of the year when the landscape becomes reddish and vegetations takes unique and beautiful yellow hues; a view that can't be missed despite the temperature, that begins to descend. A period where rest is more delightful, since there are fewer visitors in the park. Ideal for those that want to relax in the peace of Torres del Paine and its mountain lodges.

Torres del Paine National Park in Spring (September through November)

In october, at the beginning of Spring, Lodge El Chileno opens, when most of the trees and flowers in the park have already blossomed.This makes a view of endless color and beautiful hues of green and red. A visual delight accompanied with the same nice weather enjoyed in Summer with mostly clear skies. This is a great opportunity to enjoy the comfort of the park, which is not yet at full capacity, so your experience can be much more enjoyable.

Torres del Paine National Park in Summer (December through March)

Summertime is, without a doubt, the high season in Torres de Paine. A special time where flora and fauna mingle with the landscape of the massiffs and their colors under the sunlight. During Summer many mountain-related activities are possible like trekking, flyfishing, rafting and sea kayaking.
