From Santiago to Punta Arenas

You can get to Torres del Paine Park by plane, bus or car. Our destination is about 3100 kilometers from Santiago (about 1900 miles). We recommend taking a plane to airport Carlos Ibáñez del Campo in Punta Arenas and then take a bus to the park.

Only 112 Km. (70 miles) separate Puerto Natales from Torres del Paine Park You can get there by bus or car.

By Bus

Between October 15 and March 15 there are two daily frequencies. The rest of the year there is only one daily frequency. Rates per person: CL$8,000 (one-way). CL$15,000 (round-trip).

By Car

Two roads can be taken by car to get to the Park:

  • The first option is to take the north exit from the city, straight through the road to villa Cerro Castillo, about 80 kilometers away (50 miles). Then follow the route to the north by the highway to the entrance of the park in Laguna Amarga.
  • Second option is to take the nort exit in Puerto Natales to kilometer 23, where you must take the paved road to the left, route that also takes you to the Milodon Cave, until you reach the Administrative Headquarters 122 kilometers ahead (75 miles), close to the Serrano River.
