Refugio El Chileno in Torres del Paine, Chilean Patagonia.
Before the last climb to the base of the Towers, you will find "El Chileno" mountain lodge (see photo gallery). In the morning you can marvel at the first rays of the sun hitting the granite rock and turning it into an intense red. The ideal place to watch this impressive natural spectacle.
We recommend staying in El Chileno and climbing to the base of the torres before dawn, to see the sunrise and not miss out on this spectacle. Its privileged location is close to the Ascencio River, between two mountains, a two-hour walk from Lodge Torres and the base of the torres.

It has 8 beds per room (cabins for up to 3 stories). You can access the bed plus sleeping bag option.
Camping El Chileno in Torres del Paine, Chilean Patagonia
This is the camping site close to the Lodge. Toilets and hot showers inside the Lodge are available for campers. Tents and sleeping bags are available for rental.

FROM REFUGIO & CAMPING EL CHILENO:
1. Trekking a Base Torres
AM:At sunrise, when the first rays illuminate the towers, they took a deep red color.To enjoy this beautiful spectacle you can stay in Refugio El Chileno that is half way from the Base of the Torres.
2. Trekking Valle del Silencio
Into the valley of Ascencio (where the Lodges El Chileno is) Surrounding Mount Nido de Cóndor you will get to the Valle del Silencio, with spectacular views over the hills Escudo and Fortaleza as well as a peculiar view of the Torres from behind.
Difficulty Level: High.
3. Trekking El Chileno – Los Cuernos (4 hrs.).
The trail goes through the Base of Almirante Nieto Mn. – part of the Paine Massif-, with fantastic views of Nordenskjöld and Pehoé Lakes. After about 4 hours you will get to the Base of Los Cuernos where our Refugio is located.
