Refugio Los Cuernos in Torres del Paine, Chilean Patagonia.
At the shore of Lake Nordenskjöld, nestled in a Coihue Forest, you can find Refugio Cuernos (see photo gallery). Renowned for its magical settings, this lodge is at the foothills of the "Cuernos" mountain, halfway from the “Torres” mountain lodge to the French valley.It is located between the Refugio Torre central (about 4 hours) and the famous Valle del Frances (about 2 hours). It is the best place for trekkers in the W circuit in any direction to spend a night.

Apart from the Lodge, there are 8 cozy cabins for 2 persons each and a toilet and hot shower exclusively for people who are staying at the cabins. This is the camping site close to the Lodge. Toilets and hot showers inside the Refugio are available for campers. Tents and sleeping bags are available for rent.
Important - Winter Season May 2010 - August 2010Refugio, cabañas y camping Los Cuernos will be closed from May 1st through August 31st. If you wish to visit Torres del Paine during that period, you may stay in a shared room in Hotel Las Torres(see details). |
