Refugios and Camping Torres in Torres del Paine, Chilean Patagonia.
Refugio Torres (see gallery) is strategically located at the start of many trekking excursions in the Torres del Paine National Park, close to the Base of the Towers, the "Cuernos", the W circuit, Camping Serón, and many more places in the Chilean Patagonia. The refugio is a meeting point for both locals and globetrotters from all over the world.
This Lodge's is divided into two buildings and a camping described below:
Refugio Torre Central in Torres del Paine, Chilean Patagonia
It is the main building and the newest. It has 60 beds and a restaurant, bar and lounges. The price of a bed is slightly higher than others, this because it offers convenience and infrastructure.Refugio Torre Norte in Torres del Paine, Chilean Patagonia
It is the oldest building, located just steps from the Lodges Torre Central. It has 62 beds and a restaurant, bar and lounges; all the meals, however, is served in the Lodges Torre Central.
Both lodges have six beds per room. There are backpacks wardrobe USD2 per day per package. You cant access the bed plus sleeping bag option
Camping Torres in Torres del Paine, Chilean Patagonia
This campsite is in the same area of the Lodges described above. There are bathrooms, hot showers, firewood and has a large space with nature. You can rent tents and sleeping bags is you need it.
What can I visit from here? Daily treks
FROM REFUGIOS TORRE CENTRAL/NORTE & CAMPING TORRES.
1. Trekking To the Base of Torres del Paine (6 - 8 hrs).
We recommend to begin at 9.00 AM. The first hour is up with fantastic views of lakes Pehoé and Nordenskjöld. Then the trail continues through a millenary Lenga forest (1 hour) until you reach the base of “the moraine” which ascent will take you to the lookout of the Base Of the Torres del Paine.
Difficulty Level: High
2. Trekking Los Cuernos (4 hrs).
The trail goes through the Base of Almirante Nieto Mn. – part of the Paine Massif-, with fantastic views of Nordenskjöld and Pehoé Lakes. After about 4 hours you will get to the Base of Los Cuernos where our Refugio is located.
