W Circuit in Torres del Paine
The W circuit (see map in new window) is the classic and best-known route for trekking in Torres del Paine. It goes from the spectacular views from Glaciar Grey on the western side of the Paine massif, to the scenic view at the base of the Torres on the eastern side of the massif. Between them lies the Valle del Frances, a beautiful green valley surrounded by sheer walls of granite. An experience like no other that you can't miss.
Its name, "W", comes from the way it resembles that letter on a map. The route allows exploration of a large section of Torres del Paine National Park and to see some of the most beautiful places in the south of the world: Torres del Paine, Lake Grey, Valle del Francés, among others.
A complete walk across Torres del Paine takes four to five days, depending only on how much time visitors wish to spend on each place, enjoying the services and privileged location of each Fantastico Sur lodge and camping. If you decide to do the full O circuit, which includes the W circuit, it will take you 8 to 10 days.
